What is the Overall plan for the App?

The over all idea is that each operator is in charge of his/her own proof of compiling with PUWER Reg 6 regarding checking of equipment. This can be very important especially if the operator is an agency worker. He/she now has the ability to send confirmation to who they are working for that day. They can change it straight away if he/she is somewhere else the next day.

The App will be free to use for 100 reports, then at a cost of £10 it will be refreshed for another 100 uses. At present it will be paid for via PayPal. Payment will be asked for via a seperate email to the registered users address. There will be reminders sent at 80, 90 and 95 uses.

What if it has been a while since it was used and it is not working properly?
You might not need to update it just need to re-start it by logging off and logging in again using the symbol in settings in the top right hand corner. ie. settings — top right hand corner.

When you Open it up after it has been registered it will automatically default to your DASHBOARD.
Here you can see the history of your checks. Start a new check by pressing “New Inspection” in the top right-hand corner, or any of your previous checks which you will still be able to re-send if you like.

PTO Cab Switch Operation?2023-10-04T13:05:28+00:00

PTO Cab Operation: What may happen – Full indication of switch selection including possibly a lighted Dickel on the driver’s dashboard. It may also operate automatically the air suspension by “Dumping it”. Additionally, it may also set the engine speed relevant to operate the crane. Note on some cranes the engine will only rev on demand.

Handbreak Interlock: Usually incorporated specific when first fitted to the lorry. Designed to disable the “Power Take Off” if it is still accidentally left engaged before moving off.

Hydraulic Tank Oil Level Visible?2023-10-04T13:14:13+00:00

Hydraulic Oil Level: The general rule is that if you can see oil in the gauge while the legs are folded away and it is cool then there is enough for you to use the lorry loader. Note: if it disappears during operation that might be normal depending on the make and model.

Visible Oil Leaks: As the PTO has been engaged there should be pressure in the lorry loader’s system that may at this point indicate if there are any leaks.
